Background of Program  :

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education aims to equip students with knowledge, skills and competencies for them to be professional practitioners and be employed in childcare settings and preschools. This programme covers various early childhood specialties and is designed to address critical issues in the early childhood education system in Malaysia in order to meet the needs of the industry.

The graduates of Diploma in Early Childhood Education can fill this increasing demand either from public or private pre-schools in Malaysia as qualified and trained teachers. In this programme, you not only develop professional skills but can also find out about the wide range of professional careers open to you within the field.

 

Admission Requirements          : 

  1. A pass in SPM with at least Credit in any 3 subjects or any equivalent qualification; OR
  2. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or any equivalent qualification; OR
  3. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul; OR
  4. A pass in SKM Level 3 in a related field and a pass in SPM with a minimum of 1 Credit in any subject; OR
  5. Certificate in Early Childhood Education or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

 

For international students, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) of 500 or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) of 5.0 or equivalent is required.
